Evelyn Lynam

Evelyn Lynam was born in upstate New York and traveled with her family throughout the United States since her dad was in the USAF until he retired in Florida. She was introduced to dance at a young age although she found her passion in the theatre in 1992. Throughout her theater journey she found an outlet for her energy and self-care, thriving on the applause. Evelyn began tipping her toes in Ballroom Dancing when theatre roles were few and far between for a “mature” community actor. Evelyn earned her master’s degree in social work from Florida State University (FSU) after working in the field for 23 years when most people retire. Evelyn currently is the inpatient residential manager/therapist at EPIC Behavioral Healthcare where she brings her passion for the arts for “out of the box” therapy. Evelyn’s favorite song is her mantra for her work, Speak Life by Toby Mac and shares often Life Happens When Your Making Other Plans by John Lennon. Thank you, La Familia.

Angelina DiGiovanni

Angelina DiGiovanni was born in New Jersey, moved to South Florida at the age of two, and has called St. Augustine home for the past two years. Growing up with high-functioning autism and dyslexia, Angelina has faced many challenges—but she has never let them define her. She is a determined, vibrant individual who embraces life’s opportunities with confidence and enthusiasm. From a young age, Angelina found joy in the spotlight, taking dance and singing lessons and even competing in a beauty pageant at just 15 years old. Her love for performance led her to one of her favorite roles—working as an actor at Halloween Fright Nights. She also pursued her passion for beauty by attending cosmetology school, where she learned the art of hair and makeup. At 17, she achieved another milestone by earning her driver’s license, proving once again, that she is unstoppable. Angelina has a radiant spirit that lights up any room. Her kindness, perseverance, and infectious smile inspire those around her to believe that anything is possible. She is thrilled to take the stage for Dancing Stars of St. John’s County, all while raising funds for SACSPA!

She founded the Bone Health Education Group “STA STRONG” at the Council On Aging to educate the elderly community. She is also a board member of The Dance Company and active in the Adult Dance program. Her passion for dance is exuberant in her annual performances. Barb Berg

Born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, my career as a nurse anesthetist was in Mpls/St Paul, Minnesota, and rural Michigan. I never imagined having the courage to say yes to this fundraiser, but life is short, and the St. Augustine dance, yoga, and Pilates community has provided me with new friends and fantastic teachers. I moved from the cold North in 2013 after experiencing significant losses. I took ballroom lessons at Arthur Murray for several years, but after shoulder surgery in 2016, I needed to switch from yoga and ballroom to Pilates and ballet. I've been studying ballet as a novice at The Dance Company for six years and am smitten. It's been nine years since I ballroom danced. I am intimidated by dancing in front of others, but this is my time to raise money and give back. Thank you, St. Augustine.
